I have been making Pot Roast for years. I think it’s one of the first home cooked meals I mastered without having to look at a recipe. Along the way, I have made so many adjustments, as is the same with so many recipes. I’m always trying to find ways to elevate them, or make them even better. And so, my Deconstructed Pot Roast was born…

Making your own incredibly juicy, perfectly cooked steak at home! This Steakhouse Filet Mignon with Red Wine Reduction is that steak. It’s the kind of meal that will make you ask, “Why go out?”.
I was born in New Zealand and my dad’s side of the family all still live there. My husband is half Greek. Basically, our kids have no choice but to love lamb, it’s a double whammy! This Roasted Boneless Leg of Lamb always reminds me of Christmas. We usually have it on Christmas Eve at my mom’s house. It’s funny, I grew up having it prepared this way by both my mom and dad, not sure who taught who, but it is clearly a Julia Child recipe for the marinade. I will tell you this, I have found no better way to prepare any cut of lamb than with this recipe.
Fall is in the air…football is on tv, temperatures are dropping, I hear some places are getting quite a bit of rain! None for us here yet in the SF Bay Area but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t waiting anxiously for it. I love cooking comfort foods, they are such a perfect weekend meal! This recipe for Ancho Short Rib Tacos came across my Facebook feed recently from Williams-Sonoma and I knew I had to try it. Most of the recipes I post are recipes of my own, however, I have to make an exception for this one. I made a few alterations of my own, but not many, it didn’t need them. It is a phenomenal recipe with amazing flavors. I made this when we had family in town visiting and it definitely did not disappoint. The beauty of this recipe is that with a little planning ahead, it will do most of the work for you while you’re entertaining guests or relaxing with family.
